and by the way, I'm judging based on the USSR, NOT on movies, but on the stories of people who lived there. And they really didn't think about money at all!

Where were we heading? Let's rephrase the question: where COULD we have been heading? Two possible scenarios come to mind:
1) Towards communism. I don't think there are people on this forum who believe that communism is a good thing.
2) Towards some kind of imitation of communism. In this case, the USSR was one big fiction, because the main goal of this state – building a communist society – was not realized, and all communists were big deceivers.
