These maps were created by me to replace the existing arena maps from different countries. I tried to make a wide selection of options. However, I am not sure about the balance – please let me know your suggestions on this.
For those who may not know, the purpose of arenas is as follows: these maps are simulators of the final battle between opponents. At the beginning of the game, each participant is given 3 random heroes from the chosen race (or a random race). One hero is chosen from the three, and they are given a Pandora, which levels them up. Then, resources are selected (which are keys to progress). After that, this hero can choose 1 of the proposed sets of artifacts (each time different, but the levels of the artifacts are the same), a set of bonuses, and an army of their native Castle or an army of neutral creatures. Then, they visit a city where they buy a spellbook and receive spells. Finally, mana is replenished, and the opponents go to the portal leading to the center, where the final battle takes place. The map should definitely be played on the maximum difficulty (so that there are no resources). Although, I can simply make the pass more expensive.
The outcome of the match depends on who was better at leveling up their hero, who has the best set of artifacts, who has better spells, and, of course, who tactically conducted the battle better.
Arenas are usually created for 2 people. But I tried to make them for 2, 3, 4, and 8 people (to make it possible to play a mini-tournament, either by dividing into teams or individually). There are quarter-final, semi-final, and final matches. After each battle, the winner is given the opportunity to replenish mana and add neutral troops to their army. When playing in a group of three, the first 2 to reach the center have the opportunity to further level up their hero in case of victory, which should undoubtedly be an incentive to reach the center earlier.
In any case, I ask for help with testing. I will listen to any suggestions.
