Wizard – “The Triumvirate” [Campaign 6, Mission 3]

The campaign for the mages isn't particularly difficult; it's definitely easier than playing as either of the elf races. Although, I usually have Markel summon a phoenix and occasionally use darkness spells, like mass slow.

In general, playing as mage heroes in campaigns is very easy, especially when it comes to dark magic, which I think is the most powerful. By the time the phoenix has had a chance to attack, you can use berserk and mind control to defeat half of the enemy's troops, making even battles against a numerically superior opponent quite easy with dark magic. But try playing without it:) My next playthrough of the fifth game and its expansion will involve a non-standard build:) and even if it's unrealistic, at least it won't be boring.
