This game was just brutal. After defeating two waves of Black Knights without using a spellbook, I was left with only 3 Tier 7 units and 20 pirates. How could I possibly recover from that?
I saw wings, but they weren't available yet. I grabbed a Zephyr from the treasure, which eliminated everything except for one Tier 7 unit. But then I saw a Shield of Resistance near the entrance, which was exactly what I needed to reach Auto-Combat. Luckily, my opponent didn't catch me, so I grabbed a +5 All Stats sword, the wings, and retreated with my hero and army to a respawn point. I had to leave my Corvus behind.
Fortunately, my opponent gave me some time, got distracted by a Pandora's Box and a +4 Shield, and then tried to chase me, but without flight, it's hard to catch an army with wings.
In the end, on the 3rd week, I managed to ambush him in the treasure.
My opponent had a 27/19/20/14 Tazar with an army of 46 Griffins, 3 Hydras, and 15 Manticores.
My Corvus had 14/8/7/5 and an army of 22 Cyclops, 5 Serpent Riders, 11 Nixies, and 12 Griffins.
But before my Auto-Combat, my opponent kindly equipped a Crown of the Magi, and as a result, he destroyed my entire army. My opponent fled with 7 Scorpions. Since I had no mana, I spent the next few days defending and preparing to kill him with Armageddon. We exchanged Armageddons and Loses extensively. In the end, I finally managed to finish off his Tazar, and my opponent surrendered.
Thanks for the game! Honestly, I thought it would be easier. :)
I lost because of my own mistake. I used all my mana to kill my opponent with Implosion, and in my haste, I forgot to remove the Crown of the Magi... GG.
Thanks for the game.
