As for the seventh part, I won't judge, as I haven't played it myself, although I have seen quite a few reviews, let's plays, and other things. The only thing I can say is that the project is still very raw, and there are many things that need to be fixed, balanced, and reworked. If the developers can find the strength and desire, perhaps the game will succeed.
Well... many consider the 5th game to be a 3D version of the 3rd. :)
In short, I personally wouldn't mind if the 7th game was a "This is the 5th Heroes game, but with decent 2015 graphics, a new storyline (factions/units), and a small number of new functional features."
