With such a publisher, "they refused" sounds like "we can't stand them anymore." Who knows what really happened?
And I wasn't saying that the series belonged to Nival.

The point of my post is that Nival made a good game. This game got better with each expansion. That is, they know how to make games! Why change the developer and give the series to who knows who, if the people were already doing well? So far, the experiment hasn't been very successful, neither with the 6th nor with the 7th installment.
