1.
2. You may feel differently, but I see almost no difference from Six; some models were just straight-up ripped from there and they're sitting back happy with themselves. My general feeling is the same: Heroes 6, patched and expanded. At least they brought back the seven resources and removed the Castle rebuilding; that's a win.
3. The books in the design are very cool and cute, but I miss the 3D models. And the artifacts are still the same ones.
4. I noticed further movement toward building variability; probably not bad—tactics and all that.
5. Units have funny special animations like in Six; so far I've only had the patience for the deer, but it's already good.
6. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that units are tinted to the player's color. I haven't reached any opponents yet, just beat up neutrals; neutral fairies are purple, while mine are green for some reason. Is this normal?
7. The map is blind; without a bottle of vodka, you can't tell a resource from a decoration. Luckily, Alt helps a bit.
8. Respect and props for the return of elves, mages, hippopotamuses, and crossing orcs with the swamp. Waiting for demons to come back.
To be honest, I don't think it'll really hook me, but it's something to zone out with for a couple of evenings
