You can grant flight/DD using the save editor, and then there won't be a cheater status.
From the Garden of Knowledge, you can see a hidden cell; passing through it will grant you the Helmet.
I've finished a new version, which, among other things, protects all important locations from the appearance of random monsters. I'll write more details when it's uploaded to Heroes Portal.
