Okay, in brief, what's so good about it that wasn't in the previous installments?

Most people give it a 4, but those who play decent games give it an 8 or more.

Unfortunately, for me, decent games are strategy games. I have more than enough for old-school hardware. I had enough for Heroes too. Until this installment. So far, there's a regrettable trend in strategy games: the more hardware they require, the worse the games are.
