How many Soviet republics were there?

I believe it was "made in the Soviet Union"! I mean, that's how it was, but I don't remember much, although these are the happiest childhood memories. I am most proud, of course, of the sporting achievements, when hockey players played not to please foreign NHL managers, but to "get ahead in line," so as not to be disgraced (because now Russia-Portugal is 1:7, and it's like "just bad luck"; in the USSR, this simply wouldn't have happened). The best cartoons (with the exception of "Kapitoshka"), the strongest army. People, come to your senses! Who else could have defeated Hitler! America, which opened the second front 3 years later? They would have simply signed a treaty!!!
Yes, there were problems with information, but on the other hand, the less you know, the better you sleep. What they did with the education system, upbringing, healthcare, and science after the USSR – I consider unforgivable. Yes, there was a lot of ideology, but smart people ignored it (by the way, there is no less ideology today; have you ever watched "Sunday Time"?). But everything happens for a reason, and everything is for the best! (probably)
I am proud of the USSR as my history, and I am just as proud of Russia as my country.
