This will distract the elves a bit, and they will try to reclaim their city.

In short, the elves are very elven:D In my last playthrough, I think I did something similar, taking one or two of their cities and then starting to take Inferno. The elves tried and tried to retake their castles, but whether they succeeded is the question:D
