I understand that this is already off-topic, but I still want to share my thoughts: here is the statistics on templates from the recently concluded OFB-9:
8mm6a - 51 matches (21.52%); Jebus Cross - 45 (18.99%); 6lm10a - 39 (16.46%); Mini-Nosta - 35 (14.77%); Spider - 24 (10.13%); Diamond - 21 (8.86%); 2SM4d(3) - 16 (6.75%); skirmish - 4 (1.69%); Balance - 2 (0.84%);
The second, third, and fifth most popular are XL+U templates, but 8xm12a, which is definitely better than Spider, and in my opinion, even better than 6lm10a, is not added to the list;
Balance is removed and "Balance side view" - Panic is added, and also "the queen of skill" - Anarchy is added; the unplayable mess that is skirmish remains untouched;
Why have such a "huge list" of templates if only 5 are playable?
I understand that the organizers are spending their time, energy, and nerves for free - thank you very much for that, and therefore they have the right to run tournaments as they see fit, but still, you are running tournaments for the players as well, please take their opinion into account.
