“Two Seasons: Summer-Autumn 2015” Tournament. Online games for rating (reports, discussions).
In the first game, I simply gathered gold with all my units, built Knights without a Citadel and Phoenixes in the Citadel. In the second week, I summoned 3 Tier 2 units, and lost 1 Angel to Giants with a group stack. Luckily, I gained experience (Vala is weak in abilities, lacking Wisdom and Resistance). I reached Gate of the Abyss on day 131 and found a mediocre Treasure, which didn't match my expectations for this map. But... on days 135-6, I found a Utopia in a corner, where I got everything: a Chalice, a Watchman's Shield, a +5 Attack Mace, and a Book of Air. On the way to the opponent's Castle, I picked up Titan Armor. I started pushing the opponent's Castles.
After opening the Castle, it turned out that our stats were equal: 18, 28, 22, 10 against 28, 16, 16, 19. The opponent had a Red Dragon, and I had a slight advantage in terms of ranged units: 40 Vivs against 50, 7 Archons, 3 Phoenixes, 8 Psychics, and 25-40 Grand Griffins (25 from Pandora on the opponent's Castle). The opponent also had 30 Minotaurs and 6 Knights. It wouldn't have been a very difficult fight, considering he didn't have Imps, which I was a little worried about.
Thank you for the game.
