On turn 111, I saw Rylander at the opponent's and had 20+ gold worth of snakes on my side of the road – but I didn't want to risk it (I only had 2 restores left) and ultimately couldn't handle the monsters.

There's only one road leading to the one-way path, but there's a two-way path nearby, and Rylander, already level 5 with an experience diploma and a log, is starting to join the smaller creatures.
