Even if I were a doctor or a protector, I wouldn't go to Medj. Even if he is a real Tox, his check isn't that important of an investigation to risk more useful roles for. And I don't think it's beneficial for the mafia to kill a suspected Tox early on, when they can reveal him later and claim they believed in Medj's innocence, only to find out he was a mafia member all along.
Plus, I still believe that Medj could easily be a mafia member or a maniac, or even just a peaceful player who revealed himself for fun.
