Problems with the fast AI speed patch.

I recently installed the patch for Warlords of the Horde that speeds up AI on XXXL maps from this thread and encountered a problem. When I launch the game with the patch, the Champions' Tournament Strike ability stops working – units no longer break through enemy squads at any range; after launching without the patch, the ability works again. I installed it on version 3.1 as instructed, running Windows 7 32-bit.
What could be causing this, and are there any possible solutions?

If anyone has the above-mentioned patch installed, please check if your Champions' Tournament Strike is working (easily tested with the hero Vittorio in duel mode) and report the results in this topic!
