It's funny because it's 90% a clone of the sixth game.

I don't know about others, but the sixth game put me off with its overloaded creature abilities and the inability to upgrade a hero from another Faction, hence the strong attachment to the native city. This reduces variability; there's no point in building another city.
Based on what I've seen, if there are banks where you can get creatures and a random map generator, it will become a game worth paying attention to.
