RTF is a global modification that replaces all towns in the game.

I would replace the boring giant with a golem, but I would keep the manticore, as they added variety to this Faction. Or, in this mod, you could give the Dwarves the old, good griffins.

Or, you could make it as if it's not made of lava, but of some kind of shadow steel.

You could make a standard golem out of ordinary iron, the improved version out of twilight steel, and the alternative version out of some metal from the seventh game (like dragon steel).
