The issue isn't with the battle tactics... it's just that people say she loses almost every duel and is therefore weak... But if you give her higher stats, with her abilities, the Hydra would be a walking terror on the map... so they weakened her with stats but compensated with abilities...
Indeed, comparing 5 vs. 5 and 1 vs. 1 isn't entirely accurate. For example, Hydras and Dragons can attack two units, and Devils deal damage and don't take any in return, and Archangels can't use resurrection (in a 1 vs. 1 scenario). So, you need to compare them considering their abilities... or simply based on statistics.
