You’re acting like you know everything. Did you ever see HotA in the Beginner tournament before? People mainly learn to play in the Beginner tournament, and it’s a way to help new players adapt to the forum. Think about why HotA was the main template for all tournaments; it clearly wasn’t because all the previous organizers were less intelligent than you! Another point: so what if they play HotA? What then? HotA isn’t in any of the official tournaments, or are you suggesting that they should play HotA there too, if both players want to? If there are so many people who want to play that version, then create separate tournaments, and everything will be fine. But, for the most part, the Beginner tournament used to produce interesting players, and I don’t think anything will come of it with this kind of organization...

With Pete’s departure and his absence from the active life of the site, the conservative and sensible element has also disappeared. To the point where no one can even raise an objection and only then explain WHY!

I, like Vatya, don’t see the logic in playing 5 games on different templates for beginners. For me, and I’m no longer a beginner, it’s significantly more difficult than playing on any one template.
