When it was all over, Antaer was about to transfer his spirit, but as soon as he blinked again, he found himself not on the island, but in the middle of the "Golden Peacock" hall. Around him, in different places and poses, lay disfigured people, blood was splattered everywhere, and someone's entrails were scattered here and there. Six corpses of guests, the dead bodies of the tavern keeper and waitress, four guards in medium armor, and one in heavy armor, still clutching the hilt of a two-handed sword in his hands, will never see the sunrise again.
Antaer, still not understanding anything, quickly looked around. There was only one reasonable explanation for what had happened. The Assarian grabbed the first rag he saw, wiped his face, body, and bloodied hammer, and ran towards the exit of the tavern. Leaving the building, he walked calmly, trying not to betray his excitement, towards the exit of the city, in the direction of Ryu's house.
