You are mistaken, and very much so. The Polish developers simply borrowed without asking – they had to be gently reminded of this. They generally have a penchant for this kind of behavior, but they are, in principle, decent people. I communicated with some of them for a while, and I still communicate with two of them – I even gave them a few models from the 6th installment!
