This should apply to each match separately. Who knows how many finals there will be, and if the opponent is slow in a "noob" battle, there's nothing you can do about it.
There's a catch here: it could trigger a psychological effect, and a person might decide that since it's my timer ticking, I can use it however I want, and someone might deliberately waste it! spending half an hour on each move in every battle, and if before this could somehow be influenced (by saying it to the judges, the public), now it will be on a completely legitimate basis: "leave me alone, my timer is ticking. I'll use it however I want!"
What I'm getting at is that this could have the opposite effect: and instead of the original goal – saving time on a battle – we'll end up with all battles, even the simplest ones, being drawn out.
Do we need to take that risk?! Cases where people deliberately dragged out battles and spent an hour thinking about each move in a battle are rare for every Heroes player.
