Again, Yurik has read my mind; the game is competitive, and all competitive games in tournaments have a time limit, although there are strategically more complex games. If you like to spend half an hour thinking, play a single-player game. If you want to participate in tournaments, please think faster, as I've already said - time is another resource in the game, and your excessive "thinking" about moves sometimes does you no favors.
P.S. To everyone who claims that the turn limit hinders their thinking - that's your shortcoming (lack of experience, coordination, planning, etc.).
