The problem with Forge isn't that it's a technological faction, but that it's tasteless. Cyborgs and pegasi – what were the city's creators thinking? No, if I were creating a technological faction, I would make something like the Protoss, with sonic, plasma weapons, force fields, teleportation, and at the same time, a decent magical (psionic) development.
