Regarding HotA maps, wouldn't it be better to play them on fast roads? Especially h3dm1, where the distance to the opponent is slightly greater than on Diamond, and contact occurs later.
If anyone is willing, please play some matches on fast roads and some on medium roads, and then compare your impressions.
I don't think that's a good idea. On medium roads, you can often reach one town from another in a single turn.
