Regarding the chances and upgrading the archery skill tree... you misunderstood the build. For a shot of 6 arrows, the total chance of paralysis is 88.23%, and the chance of instant kill is 53.56% (if targeting a single target).
No, I understand the value of firing all arrows at one target. However, with a higher chance of paralysis, the character will have better chances against groups of opponents. After all, this archer hardly has much health and defense. And precisely because of the power of a single-target volley, I considered upgrading the Spirit Arrow skill to be somewhat unnecessary. In essence, it is only needed to counter two, hardly common, spells: Air Shield and Negation. Moreover, it is not a given that the mage will not go on the offensive and freeze the character in place. If the archer wins the initiative, as I mentioned earlier, the Spirit Arrow is useless - the mage will suffer paralysis. Although, of course, there were also thoughts about spending the free points on upgrading the magic resistance instead of the archery skill tree, or taking some kind of buff.
