Funny, Medge, the build I'm thinking of making would counter your samurai pretty well. Not least because it focuses on magic.

It's a Knight, just with fast hands. :D 10 attacks per round, and he "has problems." And I thought his opponents would have problems.

Are skills granted after ranks only after leveling up all ranks?

An Adventurer with 10 ranks, and he only has 10 points. Will he not be able to take anything? So it's unlikely that you need to level up all the ranks.
