That's what happened. By the time of the final battle, the Orc was ahead of me in level (although, experience compensated for the stat difference), and I also had a little less meat (because in the second week, I went to attack a portal in a mini-dungeon without mana, after which I only had vampires and liches left. But there was a stash of 5 behind the portal). In general, I planned the final battle like this: I would shoot down the archers and blind the cyclops, thereby forcing the warlords and warmongers to go into "direct fire." But everything went completely wrong: on the first turn, a phoenix blocked the liches (I had no tactics, and I couldn't cover these fat guys), and I also found out that the enemy had an expert in dispelling darkness, and the blinding effect can also be removed by warlords or the hero. I had a skill in light magic, but the only useful spell there was mass haste. In general, I panicked a little and, instead of trying with all my might to defeat the phoenixes, I sent the vampires and buffed-up spirits forward. They were quickly destroyed, the cyclops blocked the liches again, and that was it.
