The game was worth describing a bit.
During the endgame, there was only one question: when to surrender. And I certainly didn't expect that after typing gg it would feel frustrating. Due to crab-like play and the late hour.
The situation was such that I definitely should have taken re. There was no money and none in sight. I fell for samephalon.
The result of 2 weeks is deplorable. At home, Naga construction in the citadel (I didn't build anything at all on the 1st week), vampires in the Castle in the village. After that, it seemed the gap grew progressively.
When the opponent had Titans, samephalon was only planning to enter the Dragon Utopia. In short, a lag of about 5 days. Knowing there was definitely a red orb and way more meat there, I kept delaying the surrender — first for the Dragon Utopia, then for the scroll. But the opponent missed the moment when they needed to choke samephalon, and by the 2nd month, time was already working in my favor. Unexpectedly, I found that I actually had more Titans. I was losing only on Nagas and skeletons, but those are useless for taking a Castle, so it was at least a draw. And then a "papal gift" in the form of swapping Castles, since I hadn't invested in upgrading to Titans.
Anyway, I decide to attack. Me with an orb, bracers, and positive morale against negative. And would you believe that negative morale played into the opponent's hands twice. In the first two rounds, his angels fail their checks and the Titans move 1st. Sadness. Basically, he wipes out my Cyclops stack. With the 1st shot in response, I wipe the ballista; skeletons and Nagas just stand around. The finale seemed won, if only I hadn't forgotten that Cyclopes can also hit walls. When there were only 5 of them left and I just needed to spend one shot on them, while the rest could be dealt with somehow. Anyway, I let the infantry into the city, and they settled in.
