How is aerial control related to passing through? This restriction applies specifically to other overland passages. The rules are clear on this:
- Transitioning between zones using the Angel Wings artifact and the Flight and Dimension Door spells is allowed:
a) between any of zones 1-4 and central zone 5, if a path has been cleared through any passage between the corresponding zones;
I think that if you're unsure whether something is allowed or not, you should save at that point and continue after clarifying, rather than having the result interpreted in favor of the player, as the rules are written with inaccuracies. And since you didn't save before such a situation and took action, you get a loss.
In this case, the first action isn't breaking the path but visiting the treasure hoard. Whether by flight or on foot doesn't matter anymore.
Because if visiting the treasure hoard is prohibited, then the path must be cleared without leaving the respawn area.
There's an analysis of such a situation in the comments to the rulesGoblins can be taken from the external dwelling without clearing the path.
A similar situation was recently discussed in the Dau-Logistics game.
I drew: purple - cells where you can use Dimension Door. Red - possible trajectory options when using Flight/Wings. Brown - walking route. Blue - trajectory that violates the rules.
In my understanding
