At first, everything was bad — little gold, no external dwellings, no Dragon Fly Hives in sight, and a nasty GO with titans (no idea how to beat). But then I broke through a Dungeon village and found a T7 external dwelling. I cleared a bunch of SP/knowledge artifacts and, with 200 mana at 123, went to fight the GO on roadless terrain. I instantly grabbed a sword +5 to all stats. And the next day, the surrender was due. The opponent had few troops, no artifacts, and the GO was also unpleasant. The post-mortem revealed that on the next day, I would have picked up the KV and bracers, and killed with magic if the opponent had come out of the respawn. Thanks for the saved time and the game.
