The opponent chose a path through the ranged units on the second level, likely due to the early-game tactics on the market map, while I went for the swamp second level. As expected, he had a better start to the game. In the early third level, we met in my treasure, and on turn 131, I got Gunnar. I also managed to get to my own dirt area with a level 2 console and a stable. Thanks to Gunnar, I was able to gather important objects: I got a level 3 Utopia in my treasure one turn before the opponent reached it, and I managed to take a maxed-out Utopia and a teleportation scroll from the opponent's treasure. The opponent was going to attack on his turn 147, and I knew that, so I had to take the Utopia as the last move, losing some mana, and wait for the attack. But Gunnar had diplomacy. In the battle, he gave a mass haste, reduced the opponent's cyclops by a little less than half, and bought himself out. He decided not to continue with the sticks.
