We played in 3 sessions. In the ending, I made several fatal mistakes and should have lost instead of winning. Even though the armies were mirrored, they turned out different: grey bears on one side, phoenixes on the other; on my side, I had control (Dimension Door) and stats, but I locked myself in the Castle and got beaten up by 90+ cyclops with expert direct arrow + an artifact for 10%, but a huge advantage in mana allowed me to survive using fire elementals and searching for the main hero in the tavern, leading to further infinite gameplay.
