Realizing that there was no time to waste with training, considering the dangerous adventure ahead, Tanas decided to begin Elisael's training before setting sail from Limisklava. Lacking training swords, he had to use his newly acquired "blooddrinker" and his old sword for this purpose. Of course, he wrapped them in cloth beforehand. Argyria had doubts that Elisael had ever trained with this type of weapon, but there was no other option. Besides, he was most skilled in the technique of fighting with two-handed swords.
Tanas decided to start with the basics. He taught Elisael how to hold the weapon correctly, how to stand in a fighting stance, and how to parry, even if the attacks weren't very skillful. This was partly due to his uncertainty about the elf's skills. However, it was also motivated by Tanas's desire to be able to notice anyone suspicious lurking near the ship. Even if this person wasn't after Elisael, but after the orc, Tanas wanted to know about it in advance. And it was this caution that helped him when he noticed a group of warriors heading towards the ship.
