If we think logically, the first contest was more literary (it involved imagination, eloquence, etc.). The second one... I don't know what it was for... it introduced a certain element of appearance. The third one could be some kind of test. Some kind of intellectual test... so that some questions could be answered by relying on ingenuity, and some on certain knowledge. Or something like that. In my opinion, it's not bad: imagination, eloquence, beauty, intelligence. These are worthy criteria.
