The adventure turned out to be far more dangerous than Rayvelin had anticipated. The death of the shop owner significantly complicated matters. However, he didn't blame the elf for it; he might have acted the same way in her place. Unexpected visitors also came as a surprise. He had hoped they would leave, allowing the illusions to buy them some time, but it wasn't meant to be. Fortunately, these warriors had long forgotten what a worthy opponent was; they seemed to only attack weak savages and defenseless travelers. Although one of them did make Rayvelin worry, their companion from Histia demonstrated excellent combat skills, and soon the last opponent was killed. During the battle, Ray didn't think about the consequences; he simply reacted to the situation. And his colleague in the magical arts, unfortunately, also didn't think about them when he decided to burn down the shop. Rayvelin understood that he probably couldn't have acted differently in that situation, but he still felt a pang of sadness. The only consolation was that they had managed to save the girl. The trophies didn't interest him much. However, the experience gained from this adventure proved to be very useful. In the future, he would be more cautious and wouldn't allow himself to be caught off guard.
