In the final match, all games against Vova went according to the same scenario: I would take all the restarts and end up in a terrible position. The last game was no exception. I got Citadel against Conflux, on a poor template, with little money, and the bears didn't work out. At the end of the week, I captured 2 external dwellings of Efreeti, which allowed me to start developing from position 121. Then birds appeared, Vidomina — in short, the situation was dire. I barely managed to grab some clues at level 8, entered the treasure zone, and found a few more clues. Things started looking up; I took about 6 good hives, got close to 50 birds, Gundula leveled Earth magic and got good skills, but no Diplomacy. The opponent showed a stronger army, so I decided to break through via GO into the central zone. In the center, I found a Cartographer and ran into 100+ Wizards at the GO; without Mass Haste, I didn't dare engage them (perhaps mistakenly). The revealed Cartographer showed a weak opponent with an army and Deesa on birds in the adjacent zone. I killed the weak opponent, lost a few Vivi, and chased off Deesa. A skirmish with weak opponents began; Deesa on birds kept breaking my chains, while Vidomina ran into the treasure zone. I decided not to chase Deesa, but instead relayed through chains and took a Dragon Utopia (Sword of Justice, Red Orb). The next turn, I relayed to a second Dragon Utopia, but that also gave me nothing for control. I ended the turn with the Red Orb equipped; on my next turn, Vova unexpectedly flew in from somewhere and attacked. I had the larger army and the Red Orb was equipped. For some reason, Vidomina equipped Shackles of War when attacked, preventing her from escaping. It was gg.
The post-game analysis showed that Blue had a Cartographer, full control, and could have assembled the Cloak of the Undead King in 1-2 turns. Essentially, Vova just gave away the victory. Thanks to Vova for the games, and thanks to all opponents for the tournament.
The biggest thanks go to Sergey and Pavel, who carried the entire tournament like beasts!!!! You are the best, guys!!!! :smile49: :smile49: :smile49:
He just couldn't hold out for one more day  on day 137, he was about to assemble the Cloak of the Undead King and was making the first 70+ Liches, and the next day, two Expert Necromancers plus Super Necromancer Vidomina with 4 jumps, a Loga Stable, and Gauntlets could have brought the count to 300.... but: I saw the opponent take a Dragon Utopia in the last seconds of the timer, checked his mana, and fairly assumed that even if there was a Spirit of Oppression, Gundula in the Dragon Utopia was fighting with magic and wouldn't have time to equip the artifacts afterward — and that's exactly what happened!... with the only difference being that everything wasn't equipped, but there was just enough time on the orb timer, barely scraping by))) This is how not entirely correct assumptions lead to giving away an almost won game, as well as the match and the tournament :smile04:
Congratulations to the opponents on their victory, thanks for a meaningful match! :) Also, thanks to my team — Dima and Yura — for the most interesting games; we came just a little short of total victory... after all, pace and haste are two very different things!
Good luck to everyone in other tournaments :smile49:
