RPG based on KOTOR – suggestions and perceptions!

It could be 2000 years before KotOR:
nobody says the technology level is lower (a bit illogical, but whatever, you can just remove some of the advanced improvements and it'll be fine)

Generally, considering that the events of KotOR take place 4000 years before the movies, and the level of technical development there is roughly the same, it is quite possible that even 2000 years before KotOR the level of tech development was almost identical.
As for the planning, in principle, the period I proposed would differ by the number of colonized planets and slightly fewer races—and even then, it's not a given; the droids can remain the same, just renamed with a slight change in appearance. Thus, only the Jedi and Sith orders and their relationships with each other and the young Republic will need to be properly thought out.
