This could also be done for "Stalker" and "The Lord of the Rings." Recently, in the book "Zviermarillion" (a goblin-style retelling of "The Silmarillion"), anecdotes about "The Lord of the Rings" from various forums were collected at the end (as a bonus).
One of them is this (from the author's perspective):
