Ideally, of course, Raillag should be removed, and Arael should be given the ability to reduce enemy initiative by 1 per level. But any kind of slowing effect on enemies would be suitable for her.
But you won't do that.
And Raillag's second special ability (reducing enemy stats by 1% and increasing his own by 1%) will be given to Sareth, an even stronger hero and the one who decides the fate of Ashan. But because this specialization is so powerful, he won't be included in the main NHF build, only in the extended one.
Regarding Arael, there is another nuance. The Elves already have Wing, who specializes in initiative, so there is no need for a second hero with that specialization in the main build.

Draylana was one of the daughters of the High Druid in the west of Irollan and, even as a child, was distinguished by her curiosity and inclination towards magic. One day, she sneaked into the sacred grove of the druids, where she had a strange vision: a jug that shimmered with incredibly beautiful colors and mysterious writings that were incomprehensible to the girl, but which resonated with her heart.
Draylana left Irollan and began her journey in search of knowledge about the cherished jug. She joined the Sea Elves, where she studied the knowledge of the cult of Shalassa, then traveled to the "barbaric" lands in the east of Ashan, studying healing and the culture of the inhabitants of those places, where she gathered bits and pieces of information about the cherished jug. One day, fate brought her together with a traveling mage, who told her about a relic hidden deep within the elven forests – a jug with an endless supply of mana. Without a second thought, Draylana set off back home.
Having found the jug, the elf touched it, after which it crumbled into many fragments. It turned out that this was enough to gain the ability to restore mana during downtime, which helped in the fight against the undead that had overrun Irollan.
Now she leads one of the border armies of Irollan, without losing sight of her goal to find the great artifact of her ancestors.
I think the revised bio by Lokken, except for the last sentence, is better. I will add it.
