"Mirrors"

I've always been curious why people come to a tournament thread and write things like "oh, it's HotA, so I won't participate," or "oh, it's Warlocks of Fate, I'm out." Why not just silently move on? Is it necessary to show off and remind everyone how awesome they are? It's strange.
