Extraterrestrial civilizations. What is your opinion?

I simply don't believe in such things... I believe that the world is always moving toward something better, that trials and suffering are just a necessary part of this journey; and no matter what we do, or what foolishness we commit, everything will still turn out for the best :) The same applies to meeting aliens :)
