There were many good heroes, with plenty of money and resources. I built up my town, captured a Necropolis, didn't neglect my defenses, and teleported in some spectral dragons. But on day 123, an opponent unexpectedly attacked with 8 angels and 5 harpies on a mine. I didn't have enough money to buy my way out, and the battle was a one-sided defeat.
