Huge respawn, a couple of dwellings for demons and hell hounds (I never captured the external Pit), a couple of naga banks (20) and a couple of conservatories (1+2). Artifacts for the whole game: magic ring (had it from the start), Armor +1x4, Boots +600, Ring of Life, Spirit of Oppression I got from a chest, scrolls of Meteor Shower and Implosion (which, oddly enough, were completely irrelevant).
In the first week, I capture dwellings, Necropolis, build Efreeti in the stronghold. In the second week, I buy everything up, start demoning, decide I'm super cool, and lose half my army in a naga bank. Pira gets expert Earth, but the only useful spells are Cure and Haste )))) Meanwhile, Luna takes a pandora's box for all level 1, and Pira is offered Literacy on the next level. Literate Pira boldly takes conservatories 1 and 2, also getting the Luck skill from a Scholar (facepalm).
I see my opponent capturing a town neighboring my Necropolis, I start to panic.
On day 132, I capture another Necropolis and reclaim another Angel from the griffins, leveling Pira's long-awaited Offense. On day 134, I build a chain to burst out of the darkness and take the red Fortress while (as I thought) the enemy heroes are far away and busy with other things. So I'm sitting in ambush, psyching myself up for a swift attack, full of merciless cruelty towards the lonely centaur guarding the Fortress, when Lakus casually runs right past me (literally 7-8 steps away) and effortlessly takes out 100-250 Silver Pegasi (as it later turned out, without magic) for the treasure zone pass. To be honest, seeing this, I wanted to turn around and go level up somewhere else. But then, after thinking it over, I decide to attack Lakus, hoping that the Pegasi had worn down his army. He loses 30+ Wyverns, 4 Behemoths, buys back with 10 Cyclopes and 2 Angels, having killed all my Pit Lords, 3 Angels, and destroyed my ballista.
On day 137, I capture the red Necropolis, on day 141 - my opponent's main.
On day 143, Crag appears with the remnants of his army and amassed Wyverns. His stats and skills are better, but he is significantly weaker in troops. The final battle was more of a formality.
Thanks for the interesting game! =) I enjoyed playing.
See you later! =)
P.S. (for Makiavelli) - The Skull Helmet was near the Dungeon, which Lakus didn't reach, and the Shield of the Damned could have been bought from the artifact merchant. Well, and about the 15 Gorgons for the Fearless Guardian, you already know.
