The worst side of the Spire played a nasty trick on me — throughout the entire game, the only control I had was a Dimension Door scroll (and a 5-level Hat toward the end). There was no Town Portal anywhere; the opponent once exposed himself in the Bracelets of the Warlord, but the lack of a strong secondary stack played a dirty trick, and I had to reload without the Bracelets and buy my way out.
