Specifically regarding the starting armies – everywhere level 1 means either 10-20, 15-25, 20-30, or 30-40 units. Centaurs are the only exception – 12-24 (which is strange, because they are clearly stronger than units with a range of 10-20 – like Pikemen, Goblins).
It gives the impression that you understand everything yourself, but a simple sense of ownership is having its effect.
And that's understandable, I would probably do the same if I had created something and invested a lot of effort into it, I would also defend and protect my ideas from any advisors, even despite obvious flaws, for example, as with the aesthetics, and then suddenly, 12-24 centaurs – how did that happen? But no, not for others, because we didn't plan it that way initially, and the aesthetics would suffer.
