As I understand it, they are proposing the following: - A permanent rating is based on the results of tournament games, which fairly reflects the player's level. - The rating in the seasonal mode largely depends on the player's activity; moreover, in the seasonal mode, you can choose any opponent, unlike a tournament game.
A logical option: 1) Introduce a permanent rating based on the results of tournament games. 2) Consider all games in the seasonal mode as games within a single seasonal tournament, and after the season ends, add/subtract points in the permanent rating depending on the result in the seasonal tournament.
In this case, games in the seasonal mode will have less impact on the rating, and the permanent rating can be used when drawing groups/forming brackets in knockout tournaments.
This is a bad path. Because today you will remove the seasonal mode from the permanent rating, and tomorrow there will be a dispute that some tournaments are not worthy of the permanent rating, and so on.
