You're as clueless as ever. What do I have to do with it?! The rating is for all players; any newbie who starts playing will probably want to try and surpass someone in it, and an old-timer will probably want to surpass another old-timer (as motivation), but the main point is that it's often used in tournaments to seed players (top players). So, I don't understand what prevents it from being maintained on a permanent basis. Moreover, Dirty has already announced that there are even people willing to help with this:cool:
