Need a little help.

I would appreciate any support you can offer in two matters: 1) I can't launch Heroes of Might and Magic III HD Edition. I've reinstalled it 3 times, downloaded it from various sources on torrents. I tried different compatibility settings in the properties, updated DirectX and Microsoft Visual+++. The result is always the same: a window opens with "Play / Map Editor / Tutorial," and if I click "Play," the game simply doesn't open and doesn't display any errors. It opens in the DefPreview program, but I can't do anything further. There's a program called H3DefTool, which is specifically designed to modify monsters in Heroes 3 (colors, form), but for some reason, I can't open the monk file with it. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me.
